The Bahh Band
The Bahh Band is an intriguing mix of influences ranging from Indian Classical music, the blues and post-rock. The band is a expansive collective and regularly performs in intimate self-made gigs, festivals and sessions across Europe . Core members are Brian Fleming (bodhran), Ciro (tabla), Mattu (sarod), Pauli Smalls (double bass) and Tom Portman (dobro). The music has roots in the Classical Indian tradition but bridges the gap between such diverse influences as Ravi Shankar, Jimi Hendrix and Robert Johnson. Their performances are an enchanting mix of ancient ragas from India with a passionate and innovative interpretation of modern forms.
